HC Deb 01 June 1937 vol 324 c824
2. Mr. Anstruther-Gray

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether any increase in the strength of the Glasgow Police Force has yet been decided upon following the recommendation to that effect made by the chief constable to the corporation last June?

Mr. Elliot

I understand that the corporation of Glasgow have not yet reached a decision on the recommendation to which my hon. Friend refers. Since last June the strength of the Glasgow Police Force has been increased by one lieutenant, one sergeant and one constable.
