HC Deb 29 July 1937 vol 326 c3301
48. Mr. J. Griffiths

asked the Minister of Health whether he can now make a statement on the result of his consultations with the Welsh National Memorial Association in reference to the steps to be taken to deal more effectively with the problem of tuberculosis in Wales?

The Minister of Health (Sir Kingsley Wood)

I am not at present in a position to make such a statement. I am, however, at all times in close touch with the work of the Welsh National Memorial Association and, as mentioned in the reply which I gave to the hon. Member on 27th May, a survey of the services provided by the association is being carried out by a medical officer of the Welsh Board of Health. I am awaiting the report on that survey. I am hoping to meet representatives of the association and of the local authorities when I visit South Wales in the autumn.
