HC Deb 29 July 1937 vol 326 c3303
65. Mr. Whiteley

asked the Minister of Health why, in view of the importance of mental hygiene in the life of the community, this subject is not being included in the forthcoming national health campaign and public attention is not being directed to the question of mental health services?

58. Sir Francis Fremantle

asked the Minister of Health whether having regard to the vital importance of mental health to the community and the growing public interest and need of enlightenment in the subject, he will have it included in the health campaign propaganda which is to be carried out in the autumn under the auspices of the Government?

Sir Kingsley Wood

Opportunities will certainly be taken in the course of the campaign to call attention to the importance of mental as well as bodily health.

Mr. Gallacher

Would not the right hon. Gentleman have to make a hole in the heads of some hon. Members behind him?
