HC Deb 28 July 1937 vol 326 cc3081-2
45. Mr. Dingle Foot

asked the Prime Minister whether he has considered the Report from the Select Committee on Procedure relating to Money Resolutions; whether the Government accept the committee's recommendations; and, if so, when the Government will invite the House of Commons to pass the declaratory resolution and the new Standing Order recommended by the committee?

The Prime Minister

I would remind the hon. Member that the Report was only made available on Friday last. It is now being considered.

Mr. Foot

As this is a matter of great interest to all sections of the House, will the right hon. Gentleman be in a position to announce his decision when we reassemble after the Recess?

The Prime Minister

I cannot say.
