HC Deb 28 July 1937 vol 326 c3100
Miss Cazalet

May I ask you, Mr. Speaker, whether you have yet had an opportunity of obtaining the views of the House as to whether any formal mention can be made in this House on the death of one of its Members?

Mr. Speaker

I have been informed by the Whips of all parties in the House that it is the general wish of Members that on the occasion of the death of any Member reference should be made from the Chair to the loss sustained by the House. I should, therefore, propose to do this as from the beginning of next Session.
