HC Deb 27 July 1937 vol 326 c2824
3. Sir Nicholas Grattan-Doyle

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether his attention has been called to the provisions of the Citizenship and Aliens Acts of the Irish Free State in relation to the status of British subjects; and whether he proposes to take any action in the matter?

Mr. M. MacDonald

Yes, Sir. The views of the United Kingdom Government were made clear in public statements by my predecessor at the time when these Acts were before the Dail, and I have nothing to add to those statements.
