HC Deb 27 July 1937 vol 326 c2826
11. Mr. Liddall

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether it is the intention of His Majesty's Government to continue to base their policy for the regularisation of imports into this country upon the provisions of Article 10 of the commercial agreement with Germany which was entered into in 1924?

Mr. Stanley

It is not His Majesty's Government's present intention to denounce or seek any modification of the Anglo-German Commercial Treaty of 1924. My hon. Friend should not, however, assume that their import regulation policy is based solely upon the provisions of that instrument.
