§ Mr. BurginThe last census of privately-owned wagons registered to run on the lines of the railway companies in Great Britain was taken at 31st January, 1928, and the results were published in Appendix XV of the first report of the Standing Committee on Mineral Transport. A new census is being taken next week. The Government have not under consideration any plan for facilitating the acquisition of privately-owned wagons by the railway companies.
