HC Deb 21 July 1937 vol 326 c2204
57. Mr. Day

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air the number of civil aircraft registered in Great Britain and Northern Ireland that have been granted certificates of airworthiness and may be regarded as under British control or available for use in emergencies?

Lieut.-Colonel Muirhead

Approximately 1,250.

Mr. Day

In addition to that number, are there any aeroplanes at present under examination and awaiting their certificates?

Lieut.-Colonel Muirhead

Perhaps the hon. Member will put that question down.
