HC Deb 19 July 1937 vol 326 c1764
10. Mr. A. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is now in a position to make a statement with reference to the Anglo-German and Anglo-Russian Bilateral Naval Agreements?

Mr. Eden

I am glad to be able to inform the House that the Anglo-German and Anglo-Soviet Bilateral Naval Agreements were signed at the Foreign Office on Saturday. I am arranging to make the texts available in tie form of a White Paper this evening.

Mr. Henderson

May I ask whether the ratification of these agreements by His Majesty's Government depends in any way on the attitude of the Japanese Government to these schemes?

Mr. Eden

That is another question, and perhaps the hon. Member will await the statement to be made to-morrow.
