asked the Home Secretary whether all police forces have instructions that any prisoner in custody on a charge involving drunkenness is to be informed of his right to examination by a doctor selected by himself; and whether they are further instructed as to approached the Police Commissioner and asked to be allowed to follow the route which was followed by the Fascists, he said that in no circumstances—and it was quite definite—no procession would be allowed to go along that route?

No, Sir, I am informed that Scotland Yard cannot trace any record of an application of the unemployed marchers for any special route on 15th November, 1936.
