§ Mr. AttleeMay I ask the Prime Minister whether he can make any statement with regard to business on Wednesday and Thursday of this week?
§ The Prime MinisterAs far as the business for the remainder of the week is concerned, in addition to taking the Report stage of the Finance Bill, we shall take to-morrow the Report stage of the Agriculture Bill.
On Thursday we shall conclude the Report stage of the Finance Bill and afterwards take the Third Reading of the Agriculture Bill. 1059 There is no alteration of the business for Friday, which is the Third Reading of the Finance Bill.
We are suspending the Eleven o'Clock Rule to-night in order to get the first six Orders.
§ Mr. BennIs the Prime Minister aware that the Minister of Agriculture is considering an Amendment on the Report stage of the Agriculture Bill dealing with the Privileges of the Commons. Will it
§ be possible for a Law Officer to be present so that the matter may be debated with proper authority?
§ The Prime MinisterI will consider that.
Motion made, and Question put,
That the Proceedings on Government Business be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[The Prime Minister.]
