asked the First Commissioner of Works when it is proposed to commence building operations on the Walworth Road (Borough) Employment Exchange?

I regret that it is not yet possible to state when building operations on the new Borough Employment Exchange are likely to commence, but the hon. Member may be assured that every effort is being made to expedite the scheme for a new Employment Exchange.

Mr. Day

In view of the fact that 18 months ago the right hon. Gentleman's colleague, the Minister of Labour, stated that plans were in course of preparation, cannot the right hon. Gentleman make some more definite statement?
