§ Dr. BurginAs a result of discussion with the classification societies and the shipowners, the latter have agreed to carry out substantially the recommendations of the Steering Gear Committee and the classification societies to make the alterations to their rules necessary to ensure general compliance with them.
§ Dr. BurginIt will come into force very much quicker than if it were necessary to introduce legislation. The result of the answer I have given is that the matter can now be dealt with by regulations, and the drafting of these regulations will be proceeded with at once.
