HC Deb 25 January 1937 vol 319 c558
78. Mr. Day

asked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the dangerous condition of overcrowding in which the public are compelled to travel during rush hours in the London area, he will take steps, either by representations to the railway companies or otherwise, to see that adequate railway accommodation is provided for the travelling public during these periods?

Captain Hudson

I will bring the matter to which the hon. Member refers to the notice of the railway companies and the London Passenger Transport Board.

Mr. Day

Will the hon. and gallant Gentleman particularly draw their attention to the services in South-East London?

Captain Hudson

Yes, Sir.
