HC Deb 21 January 1937 vol 319 c340
46. Mr. Lovat-Fraser

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the rapid and widespread destruction of the beauty of Great Britain, he will consider the appointment of a Minister of Amenities to combat this destruction?

The Prime Minister

While I have every sympathy with the object which my hon. Friend has in view, I do not consider that the appointment of an additional Minister for the purpose would be justified.
