asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury the amount of profit made by the Royal Mint for the year ended 1935–36 to the nearest available date; and also the amount paid to the Treasury?

In the financial year 1935–36, the Mint's cash receipts in excess of those applied as appropriations in aid to balance expenditure amounted to £320,647 18s. 6d., which was duly paid to the Exchequer as surplus receipts.
