WoodI do not think this is a matter in which I could usefully approach the local authorities, but I have no doubt that the advantages resulting from repainting and redecoration as suggested will be generally appreciated by local authorities and the public. The consideration referred to in the latter part of the question will, I am sure, not be overlooked.
