HC Deb 19 January 1937 vol 319 c34
73. Mr. Hopkin

asked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the state of the water for use at Pontyates, Carmarthenshire; whether he is aware that the water has been described by the medical officer as not fit for human consumption; and will he say what steps are being or have been taken to remedy this state of affairs?

Sir K. Wood

The reply to the first and second parts of the question is in the affirmative. Every effort is, I am satisfied, being made to deal with the trouble which has arisen. I am keeping in close touch with the position, and will inform the hon. Member of its development.
