§ Sir W. WomersleyI am informed by the British Broadcasting Corporation that the maximum range of the London television station varies with direction; but experience so far suggests that the average range for good reception is of the order mentioned in the Television Committee's report, namely, about 25 miles. Owing to differences in conditions it is difficult to make precise comparisons; but in general the results obtained in other countries are understood to be somewhat similar to those obtained here.
