asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the number of tons of coal and the quantity of fuel oil, respectively, used by the Royal Navy for the years 1920, 1930, and 1936, respectively?

The Royal Navy, including shore services, used 1,033,000 tons of coal in the financial year 1920; 448,000 tons in 1930, and 434,000 tons in 1936. As regards oil fuel, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave to the hon. Member for Clay Cross (Mr. Ridley) on l0th February.
