asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether any proposals have been made for the representation of native interests in the legislature of Southern Rhodesia?

As the hon. Member is no doubt aware, natives are entitled under the electoral law of Rhodesia to be registered as voters on the same terms as Europeans. No proposal for the separate representation of native interests in the Legislature has been submitted to me by the Southern Rhodesia Government.
