HC Deb 11 February 1937 vol 320 cc580-1
62. Mr. David Adams

asked the Minister of Health whether any local authorities in England and Wales have erected municipal tenement houses with communal dining rooms, recreation rooms, and kitchens for working-class families; and, if so, whether he has formed any opinion as to the results?

Sir K. Wood

I am not aware of any municipal tenement schemes which incorporate the features referred to by the hon. Member. My attention has been drawn to one scheme only where recreation rooms have been so provided, and it is too early yet to form any opinion as to the results.

Mr. Adams

When the Minister has made up his mind as to the results, will he let me have the information?

Sir K. Wood

Yes.
