HC Deb 09 February 1937 vol 320 c213
47. Rear-Admiral Sir Murray Sueter

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will consider providing the necessary amount in the forthcoming Estimates to provide for the salary of an under-secretary to assist the Minister for the Co-ordination of Defence, and so allow the questions both of co-ordinating supplies and higher administration of the fighting services to be given greater attention?

The Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr. Chamberlain)

My hon. and gallant Friend's suggestion has been noted, but I am advised that there is at present no need to supplement existing arrangements.
