§ 32. Mr. Lambert
asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any commitment exists whereby under the 20 Franco-Russian Pact Great Britain could be involved in a European war; and, if none does exist, has this fact been made clear to the French and Russian Governments?
§ Viscount Cranborne
The answer to the first part of the question is No, Sir. As regards the second part of the question I think the French and Soviet Governments are fully aware of the position.
