HC Deb 03 February 1937 vol 319 c1573
1. Mr. Riley

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs the main points covered by the recent treaty of friendship between the Governments of Jugoslavia and Bulgaria?

The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Eden)

I have received the text of this treaty as published by the "Ayala" News Agency. The instrument is brief and consists of two articles only. The first provides for inviolable peace and sincere and perpetual friendship between the two Kingdoms. The second provides for immediate ratification of the treaty and for its entry into force after exchange of ratifications.

Mr. Riley

Can the right hon. Gentleman say what are the actual proposals to which he has referred in the second part of his reply?

Mr. Eden

I think they are clearly set out in the information I have given to the hon. Member, but I will send the hon. Member any further information that I have.
