HC Deb 23 December 1937 vol 330 cc2146-7
45. Sir Assheton Pownall

asked the Prime Minister what action the Government intend to take on the Departmental Committee report which has been recently issued on the question of a pensions scheme for ex-Members of Parliament?

Sir S. Hoare

My right hon. Friend is making some inquiries, but is not yet in a position to make any statement on this subject.

Sir A. Pownall

May I ask my right hon. Friend meanwhile to convey to members of the Departmental Committee thanks for the work they did in the production of their report?

Sir S. Hoare

I will draw my right hon. Friend's attention to my hon. Friend's observations.
