HC Deb 21 December 1937 vol 330 c1778
68. Mr. Mander

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether all German, Japanese, and Italian subjects have now withdrawn or are withdrawing from the Secretariat of the League of Nations?

The Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Viscount Cranborne)

I understand that some of the Italians who are members of the Secretariat of the League have recently sent in their resignations. One or two Germans and a Japanese remain members of the Secretariat.

Mr. Mander

Can my Noble Friend say the number of persons involved?

Viscount Cranborne

Not without notice.

Mr. Thurtle

Are any Italians working in the Secretariat?

Viscount Cranborne

I have given all the information.
