HC Deb 21 December 1937 vol 330 c1752
11. Mr. McEntee

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, for the information of the House, he can now make any detailed statement as to his plans for the re-organisation of Scottish Government offices?

Mr. Elliot

No, Sir; I am not yet in a position to make any detailed statement.

Mr. McEntee

Can the right hon. Gentleman say when he will be likely to be in a position to make a statement?

Mr. Elliot

I certainly shall not be making any statement during the Recess.

Mr. Davidson

In view of the fact that it is very difficult to get adequate replies in this House to Scottish questions, will the right hon. Gentleman hasten on this re-organisation?
