HC Deb 01 December 1937 vol 329 c2066
45. Mr. Simmonds

asked the Prime Minister whether he will set up a Standing Committee to review all new proposals of all Government Departments, in the light of the possibility of enemy air attack, and to advise?

The Prime Minister (Mr. Chamberlain)

The Committee of Imperial Defence and its standing sub-committees provide facilities for reviewing every form of enemy air attack and for advising on the measures required for countering them.
