HC Deb 28 April 1937 vol 323 c340
64. Mr. Rostron Duckworth

asked the Minister of Health whether any local authorities and, if so, which make a practice at the present time of charging laundries or hotels for the right to discharge their effluent into the sewers; and whether he will take steps to prevent such charges being made?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health (Mr. R. S. Hudson)

My right hon. Friend is not aware of any local authorities who make charges for these purposes.
