HC Deb 27 April 1937 vol 323 cc164-5
37. Mr. De la Bére

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has any information to give to the House with regard to the stabilisation of the price of feeding stuffs; and whether he can assure the House that this matter is now having consideration from the Ministry of Agriculture?

The Minister of Pensions (Mr. Ramsbotham)

I have been asked to reply. I have nothing to add to the reply given to my hon. Friend yesterday.

Mr. De la Bére

Do I understand that no concrete, crystallised plan dealing with the stabilisation of feeding stuffs is under consideration by the Ministry? How long is this country to go on—[Interruption].

Mr. Ramsbotham

My hon. Friend put an almost identical question yesterday. I do not think that sufficient time has elapsed since yesterday's reply for me to be able to give a different one.

Mr. De la Bére

Are we to be always at the mercy of political expediency?
