HC Deb 26 April 1937 vol 323 c15
20. Mr. A. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs the reason for the proposed postponement of the forthcoming meeting of the Bureau of the Disarmament Conference?

Viscount Cranborne

I understand that the reasons for which the Vice-President of the General Commission of the Disarmament Conference has proposed that the meeting of the bureau should be postponed to a date to be fixed in connection with the forthcoming meetings of the Council and the Assembly are that it is desired to meet the convenience of those members of the bureau who would normally be present at the Council and the Assembly and to take into account the possibility that some members of the bureau might, at the original date proposed, still be engaged at the Montreux Conference.

Mr. Henderson

Has the date been fixed?

Viscount Cranborne

No, but I think it will be at the end of the month.
