HC Deb 21 April 1937 vol 322 c1760
61. Mr. Viant (for Mr. Ammon)

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether, before coming to a final decision as to the changing of the Members dining and smoking rooms, he will take steps to consult Members as to their wishes on the matter?

Mr. R. S. Hudson

The proposed rearrangement of the Members' dining and smoking rooms was recommended in July last by a representative joint Committee on the Refreshment Rooms and Lavatories in the Palace of Westminster. My Noble Friend assumes that the scheme accords with the wishes of Members generally, but he would be glad to consider any point that the hon. Member may desire to raise.
