§ 57. Mr. Leckieasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that presents sent by relatives and friends to soldiers serving in His Majesty's Army in India and also presents sent home by soldiers there are liable to full duty, and that this tax is causing resentment; and whether he will make arrangements with the Customs authorities at both ends whereby these charges will cease to be made?
