HC Deb 12 April 1937 vol 322 c615
64. Captain Macnamara

asked the Minister for the Co-ordination of Defence whether, in view of the modern danger of sudden attack, he has asked the Defence Ministries to take more precautions than hitherto has been usual at such periods as Easter, Whitsun, and Christmas, when such a large proportion of our fighting Services is on leave?

The Minister for the Co-ordination of Defence (Sir Thomas Inskip)

My hon. and gallant Friend may be assured that all necessary steps are taken for the proper discharge of duties in cases of absence on leave.
