HC Deb 08 April 1937 vol 322 cc337-8
34. Mr. Leckie

asked the Home Secretary whether, in view of the unpropitious weather which an early Easter usually involves, he will take steps, by legislation if necessary, to put into force the provisions of the Act for a fixed Easter now on the Statute Book, without waiting any longer for the other nations which have not yet signified their assent?

Sir J. Simon

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given to my hon. Friend the Member for Colchester (Mr. Lewis) on 26th November last. I will send him a copy.
