asked the Minister of Labour the credit balance of the Unemployment Fund at the end of March, 1937?

On 31st March, 1937, the total balance of the Unemployment Fund was about £43,700,000.

Has my right hon. Friend yet considered, in consultation with the Board, what proportion of this surplus will be available for benefits?

Mr. Brown

The House recently passed an Order dealing with the disposal of the surplus.

Can the right hon. Gentleman say what the balance is earning in interest?
