§ 69. Mr. Manderasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what is the present position in Palestine with regard to outbreaks of violence and the measures taken to prevent them?
§ Commander SouthbyI am glad to be able to state that there has been a decrease in crime and the feeling of insecurity appears to have grown less acute in the last ten days. As a precaution against a recrudescence of acts of violence special measures are being taken by the Palestine Government in which the military forces will give further assistance to the civil authorities in various directions.
