asked the Minister of Agriculture how many head of live cattle and pigs were imported into Great Britain from overseas (including those from Northern Ireland) during 1934, 1935 and 1936, respectively?

I have been asked to reply. As the answer consists of a table of figures, I propose, with the hon. Member's permission, to have it circulated in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Following is the statement:

Numbers of live cattle and pigs landed at ports in Great Britain from all sources in the years 1934, 1935 and 1936:

The areas from which the above animals were shipped comprise Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, Canada and the Irish Free State.
