HC Deb 06 April 1937 vol 322 c16
29. Mr. Perkins

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air the total number of days that Gatwick airport has been unserviceable during 1937 for large commercial aircraft; and whether it still has a permanent licence for this type of aircraft?

Sir P. Sassoon

The total number of days on which Gatwick airport has been unserviceable during 1937 for large commercial aircraft, up to and including 25th March, was 46. Since that date the airport has been fit for use by all types of aircraft. The licence granted for the use of the airport continues in force.
