HC Deb 30 November 1936 vol 318 c828
58. Mr. T. COOK

asked the Minister of Labour whether he has any statement to make concerning the shortage of labour in the agricultural districts of the county of Norfolk

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of LABOUR (Lieut.-Colonel Muirhead)

I am having inquiries made and will communicate with my hon. Friend as soon as possible.

Captain DOWER

Is my hon. and gallant Friend aware that there is a similar shortage of labour in the agricultural districts of Cumberland, and will he consider training some of the miners there who have very little chance of ever getting work again?
