asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the total length of railway lines that have been constructed in the British dependencies in East Africa during the five years ended 31st December, 1935; the manner in which this construction has been financed; and whether any grants or loans for same have been made by the Imperial Government?

Are the development and construction of the railways proceeding satisfactorily?


Yes, most of the railways to which I am referring are nearing completion.
