asked the Secretary for Mines whether the Government have in contemplation the provision of a subsidy or any similar form of assistance for the export trade in coal?

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave on 9th November to the hon. Member for Carmarthen (Mr. Hopkin), of which I am sending him a copy.

May we have an indication from the Government whether they intend to do anything for the export trade?

I do not think the hon. Gentleman can have in mind what the answer said

Will the hon. and gallant Gentleman enlighten me?
