HC Deb 24 November 1936 vol 318 c207
22. Mr. G. HALL

asked the Secretary for Mines what action, if any, is proposed by the Government to bring about an improvement in the coal export trade of this country?

Captain CROOKSHANK

The position of the coal export trade is continually under review, and the hon. Member may rest assured that no oportunity of bringing about an improvement is or will be overlooked.

Mr. SHINWELL

Is the matter of an export subsidy under the consideration of the hon. and gallant Gentleman's Department?

Captain CROOKSHANK

The hon. Gentleman had better put a question down if he wants to know.
