HC Deb 12 November 1936 vol 317 cc1036-7
62. Captain PLUGGE

asked the Minister of Health whether he can make any statement as to the investigations which his Department has been carrying out, jointly with the Board of Trade, into the advisability of suggesting to local authorities that they should insist upon the increased use by their contractors of coasting shipping for the transport of heavy materials wherever possible, in order to reduce traffic congestion?

Sir K. WOOD

I regret that I am not yet in a position to make a statement.
