HC Deb 28 May 1936 vol 312 cc2181-2
38. Mr. GRAHAM WHITE

asked the Minister of Health whether attendance at a juvenile instruction centre is accepted by him as satisfying the condition of full-time instruction at a day school for the payment of additional allowances or orphans' pensions under the Contributory Pensions Acts, 1925 to 1935?

Sir K. WOOD

Attendance at a juvenile instruction centre is normally accepted as qualifying a child for an additional allowance or orphan's pension, but the special circumstances of a particular case may make it an exception to the general rule. If the hon. Member has a specific case in mind and will let me have particulars, I will be glad to look into it.
