§ 30. Mr. CHORLTONasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air which of the new civil air-liners for trans-ocean service are to be fitted with oil engines?
§ Sir P. SASSOONNone of the aircraft at present projected for this purpose will be so fitted. I am advised that the development of the oil engine has not reached a stage which would justify its incorporation in aircraft for use in trans-ocean services.
§ Mr. CHORLTONWill my right hon. Friend take steps with a view to having engines of this type used in some of these flying boats?
§ Sir P. SASSOONAs the hon. Member knows, we are still experimenting with this type of engine.
