HC Deb 20 May 1936 vol 312 c1172
4. Mr. MANDER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the technical arrangements made between the naval, military and air staffs of certain Mediterranean Powers for collective defence against an attack by the Italian aggressor are still in being; and whether further staff conversations are contemplated with a similar object.?

Mr. EDEN

The answer to the first part of the question is Yes, Sir. As regards the second part, no further staff conversations for this purpose are at present contemplated.

Mr. MANDER

Is the right hon. Gentleman entirely satisfied that the League forces can deal with any attack delivered by the aggressor?

Mr. EDEN

That is not the question on the Paper.
