HC Deb 20 May 1936 vol 312 cc1199-200
73. Mr. BENSON

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is satisfied that the arrangement made with the brewers for the maximum use of British barley in return for the concessions made to them in the 1933 Budget has been adequately fulfilled, in view of the fact that in the financial year 1934–35 fully one-third of the barley for brewing was imported?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. W. S. Morrison)

Yes, Sir.
